Whitewater Ski Resort in Nelson is opening new overnight accommodations this summer, marking the first time the resort will be open to the public in summer.
The Hummingbird Lodge is a two-story lodge with a two-bedroom suite that sleeps six. On the bottom floor, there are food and beverage options as well as a retail store for campers.
In addition to the lodge, they are also opening 15 tent sites along the Apex Creek and 10 RV sites. Campers will have access to new hiking trails, an adaptive multi-use bike trail and an off-leash dog area.
The developments are one step of Whitewater’s latest master plan that includes building a hotel, a hostel and employee housing.
