A former Abbotsford Member of Parliament is pleased with Canadian government's response during the pandemic.

In an interview with CIVL, Jatinder Sidhu, former Member of Parliament for Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon, said the federal government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic was a necessity, as it needed to take care of both Canadians health and economic needs. If they had not taken the action that they did during the crisis, that people would not have had a chance to be able to come out safely and securely, Sidhu said.

Sidhu added that by the middle of 2021, the Canadian population will be able to get vaccinated six times over if they want because the federal government was successful in securing hundreds of millions of dosages of COVID-19 vaccines.
