Three vehicle collision send two to hospital with serious injuries

A three vehicle crash near Alma yesterday morning sent two people to hospital with serious injuries.

Shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, emergency crews responded to the collision on Wellington Road 17 east of Alma.

Initial reports indicated that a pick-up truck collided with two other vehicles on Wellington Road 17.

Two drivers were transported by ambulance to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries. The third driver was not injured.

Wellington Road 17 was closed for a few hours yesterday morning.

A 21-year-old man from Mulmur Township has been charged with careless driving causing bodily harm, operating a motor vehicle with no insurance and improper tires.

The Wellington County OPP is continuing the investigation and is asking anyone that may have witnessed this collision to please call 1-888-310-1122.
