Patricia Driessen hopes to be Abbotsford's newest council member, with local residents heading to the polls this weekend to vote in their municipal government.

Driessen established her business Perfect Sense Events in 2011, after having spent time at The University of The Fraser Valley and receiving a diploma at Thompson Rivers University.

Driessen has worked alongside a number of non-profits in Abbotsford and says she is confident that her direct experience with the community will help with the transition to council.

In a recent interview, Drissen spoke with CIVL about the main issue she sees in Abbotsford, the November floods, social issues affecting Abbotsford and the city's culture.
