Steady decrease of active COVID-19 cases in the Outaouais

For more than a week, cases of COVID-19 for the entire Outaouais territory have steadily declined. There are now 163 active cases of COVID-19 found in the Outaouais as of Jan. 27.

The number of active cases in the city of Gatineau is now 91. The MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais territory has 31 cases, followed by Papineau with 23 cases and the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau with 16. The Pontiac still has five or less active cases.

The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) reiterated that the population must remain vigilant in order to further reduce the number of cases and prevent the virus from spreading.
