The impact of COVID-19 on one local retirement facility. CIVL spoke with Dan Levitt, the Executive Director of the Tabor Village retirement facility in the Fraser Valley.  In the first part of a two-part interview, the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic were discussed. Mr. Levitt confirmed that 93 residents of the facility were infected with Covid-19. He also said that 25 of those residents have unfortunately passed away. Life at the facility has changed dramatically. Not only are the residents not allowed to visit physically with their family members, but they are also confined to their rooms.  Mr. Levitt says senior care in the Fraser Valley will be noticeably different after the pandemic.
