On today's Tantramar Report:

The province urges New Brunswickers under 40 to get fully vaccinated, and fully vaccinated fast, since they have the lowest rate of full vaccination. Less than 60 per cent of New Brunswickers between the ages of 12 and 39 have two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. Most COVID-19 infections emerging since the province went green are people in this age group who, for the most part, are not fully vaccinated. Sadly, one person is in the hospital due to COVID-19. The release did not say how old the person is, or whether or not the person is vaccinated.

Juan Facundo shares an ice cold childhood delight with the Town of Sackville with his new business, Las Paletas de Juan. He remembers eating an ice cold Colombian popsicle, called a paleta, made from fresh fruit such as papaya, mora, and passionfruit. So he took it upon himself to bring paletas to Sackville, with the help of six popsicle molds and a mini freezer.

The Town of Sackville has hired new contractors to finish the asphalt patching on town roads after complaints and concerns over the quality of work done by the original hired company. Von Industries has been replaced by Costin Paving & Contracting to complete remaining asphalt paving work for the season. The earlier patching done by Von resulted in complaints from the public about the bumpiness of the patches. After the town asked, Von repaved patches on York and Bridge Streets with larger patches that would result in less severe bumps. The town’s announcement on social media Tuesday says the change in contractors will come at no additional cost to the Town.

The Progressive Conservatives won a surprise majority government in Nova Scotia, making Tim Houston the new premier. Elizabeth Smith-McCrossin is leading by nearly 1,000 votes in Cumberland North, but the votes are still being counted.
