How the life of a local artist has changed in the era of COVID. Rebekah Brackett, a painter, spoke with CIVL on what the last year has looked like for her. Brackett says that in the last year, she has been working with watercolour, pen and ink, and her tablet. She says that with COVID, a lot of her time has been absorbed by work but when she is not doing that, she tries to create whatever she can. Currently, Brackett is working on a children’s book. Brackett says that for the illustrations, she tries to get the water of her illustrations from what she is referring to in her book. She says it makes her more connected with her artwork.
