What a local artist says has changed during the pandemic in the art industry. Rebekah Brackett, a painter, spoke with CIVL on what barriers COVID has created for artists. Brackett says that artists who want to work on art or present art might not be able to because they might not have the necessary technology. She also says that some artists are spending less time pursuing their passion because they are busy with other things due to COVID. Brackett says that she was lucky that she did not have to deal with these issues. She says that it has been especially difficult for people to begin their career as an artist and that part of her job is finding solutions for these kinds of problems.
