Lisa VanEvery is the Program and Cultural Coordinator for Aboriginal Legal Services (ALS) in Brantford and is also the host of Yoha:te ne kahsen:na or “Road to your Name” podcast.

"The Road To Your Name" series features many guests covering a wide range of topics specific to the Haudenosaunee or Six Nations. The first season was published in December of 2020.

“All of the episodes take a relatable and valuable look at what Indigenous change-makers are doing throughout Turtle Island. This season, each podcast will introduce listeners to a storyteller that will take them on a journey of cultural exploration, sharing personal experiences that are sure to be broken down into engaging and reflective conversations,” says VanEvery.

The fourth season of "Road to Your Name" will discuss a variety of themes including Indigenous knowledge, filmmaking, gifts of creativity, the arts, and even technology.

VanEvery, who has been with ALS for eleven years, originally started the program as a weekly meeting and brought in guests who shared their knowledge because she found that many Indigenous people entering the legal system didn't know their heritage and wanted to strengthen their cultural connection.

Each podcast series has ten episodes and you can find Road to your Name on all music platforms.

The program has reached listeners all over the world in over 20 countries.
