Six Nations actor and pioneer in Indigenous media Gary Farmer received the August Schellenberg Award of Excellence on Oct. 22 from the ImagineNATIVE Film Festival.

The August Schellenberg Award of Excellence or “Augie” is an annual prize recognizing significance in professional and personal achievement by an Indigenous actor. The film festival ran from Oct. 18-23 in Toronto and from Oct. 24-30 online.

CKRZ sat down with Farmer in studio for an interview on his career, his achievements as well his latest CD.
