A representative at the MCC says that regardless of the different ways countries dealt with the pandemic, most have one thing in common. Ron Ratzlaff, a representative speaking on behalf of Mennonite Central Committee, spoke to CIVL regarding the similarities of the pandemic response in different countries. Ratzlaff says that the result of the response that countries took are different. For example, in Vietnam, they saw very few cases unlike Canada. He says one of the measures that most countries took was blocking travel from different countries. Ratzlaff says in BC, work was affected due to restrictions put in place by the government. An example of this can be restrictions of how many people can meet in one area.
