A sign that spring is upon us: Warden of the MRC Pontiac Jane Toller said that a group that has been set up to prevent flooding will meet regularly in the coming weeks.

The group is made up of elected officials, the Ottawa River Regulation Planning Commission, Hydro-Quebec, public security, as well as “citizens experts“ such as André Boisvert of Mansfield.

“The objective of the working group is to suggest improvements. Currently, we are doing everything possible to keep the reservoirs as low as possible for the onset of the spring melt in the coming weeks, " explained Warden Jane Toller.
