Erica McLane is an Indigenous woman originally from Hazelton BC, and is now an established author with her first self published book coming out July 7.
Her book From the Rez to the Mountaintop: Becoming Who We're Meant to Be is the hopeful journey of an Indigenous woman on her path to healing, self-love and self-mastery.
“This narrative nonfiction story provides listeners the space to consider their own story and capacity to pursue self-mastery and become the person they were meant to be,” according to the description of the book.
In an interview with CFNR, McLane shares her story about her first novel and hopes that it may impact youth to find their voice and share their own story. McLane explains the way her book is broken up into three parts: love, work, and grow.
Over the next year, McLane is hoping to build a self-mastery virtual course and speaking engagements so she can share and build the sense of pursuing one's own self-mastery.
