A trailer fire on the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation has claimed the life of a 10 year old child.

Police and emergency services responded to a blaze on Mississauga Road at approximately 2 a.m. Monday March 13. According to a Six Nations press release, the fire was originally thought to be on Six Nations of the Grand River due to the close proximity of the Mississaugas of the Credit Territory boarder.

Victim Services of Haldimand Norfolk and New Credit are assisting family members and other victims involved.
