Nina George and Raynald Losier held their last soap sale in Crescent Valley on Saturday. The former owners of Mountain Sky Soap sold their company in April after 30 years. They no longer have any involvement with Mountain Sky Soap. The company will operate under the same name with new ownership.

George and Losier stared making soap out of their home. As the business grew they purchased a building for production, hired staff and expanded their products to include shampoo and conditioning bars, massage bars, lip balms and body butters.

It started as a local business in the Kootenays and then became a brand available in major health stores across the country.

When building their company, George and Losier’s main goal was to create a quality, locally made product. This resonated with people in the Kootenays and allowed their business to thrive.
