The Councilors of Prince Edward County have some difficult decisions to make  in the midst of the 2024 budget deliberations.

The proposed 12.7% tax increase does not sit well with any of the councillors and taxpayers however, the County is faced with numerous big ticket items to finance. Big bucks are needed  to help staff grapple with supplying water, wastewater and roads.

The budget was to finish by Dec. 8 however Dec. 12 is more likely given there are so many difficult decisions to be made.
