MNA for Pontiac André Fortin asked the government to make more doses available for the Outaouais before the region heads back into the red zone restriction level this week.

“If we are in a region where the risk has increased, before bringing us back to the red zone, the government is obliged to increase the number of vaccinations. If we look at the two regions which currently have an increase in cases, the Outaouais and Saguenay, it is surely no coincidence that these are the two regions which have the fewest people vaccinated," said André Fortin.

Fortin mentioned that he already made the request to the government on Wednesday. He added that there were doses of vaccines available only for the day of March 17.

“The government must also explain once again when it will decide to change the area and why,” said Fortin.
