Battery storage facility north of Metcalfe not going ahead

In a media release Osgoode Ward Councillor George Darouze said the proposal from a company named Compass to build a battery storage facility on 8th Line Road near Metcalfe is not going ahead. Community concerns include potential impacts on well water, the abutting properties, and emergency response plans in a rural area.
