After hosting workshops on flash writing earlier this year, Write Here Write Now (WHWN) has launched its latest anthology series Flash Reads: An Anthology of Flash Fiction, Poetry, and Shorts.
The term 'flash' refers to extremely brief forms of writing. This particular anthology series features poetry, flash narratives, and longer shorts capped at 1,200 words.
Flash Reads - a project funded by New Horizons - is a compilation of flash works from creative writers in the Eastern Townships and other parts of the world.
Within the first week of being launched on Amazon, Flash Reads was rated number 15 in short stories and poetry and it grabbed the number one spot on the Canadian short stories list.
CIDI spoke with Jan Draper and Rebecca Welton from WHWN for more details on flash writing and the publication of Flash Reads.
