Sackville’s community police officer has left her job after after one and a half years.

Lise Babineau started as Community Program Officer (CPO) in the height of the pandemic, in October 2020. According to her monthly reports to council, the CPO had visited schools and delivered a substance abuse prevention program called Botvin Lifeskills Training.

Sackville town council discussed her resignation at their Monday meeting.

CHMA looks at the plans to replace Babineau and how her leaving will affect plans for community engagement about the local RCMP that has already been delayed by the pandemic.
