At Tuesday's regular council meeting, Mayor Steve Ferguson proclaimed “PECelebrates Week in the County,” which will run from June 24 to July 1 this year. This coming week will celebrate the intersection of Indigenous History Month, Pride Month, Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day, Multiculturalism Day, and Canada Day, as well as acknowledge the pandemic’s restrictive impact on community connection in the prior two years.
Furthermore, it honours the many local passionate volunteers, recreation committees, community organizations and businesses that make Prince Edward County whole.
