What’s in a name? Amalgamation raises questions about future moniker for Sackville area

The Province of New Brunswick plans to shrink the number of local governments through amalgamation.

As part of that process, the Town of Sackville will be merged with the Village of Dorchester, the local service districts of Sackville and Pointe de Bute, along with 40 per cent of the local service district of Dorchester. 

Questions that remain include the future name of the area, currently known as Entity 40.
