What the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation is doing differently during the pandemic. Elizabeth Harris, the executive director of the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation spoke with CIVL on how the pandemic has affected the fundraising effort for the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation. Harris says before the pandemic, the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation hosted many events including Galas and Christmas breakfasts but now, they are holding events virtually so they can abide by the guidelines of Dr. Bonnie Henry. She says the community has been very supportive of their foundation and the Hospitals. Harris says that unlike usual, their foundation has been securing essential PPE for the Hospitals. She also says that they have secured several iPads so patients can communicate with their families.
