The West Kootenay Climate Hub has teamed up with the Nelson Library to host a climate solutions workshop as part of the British Columbia Library Association’s Climate Action Week.

Laura Sacks of the West Kootenay Climate Hub says the workshop “is not going to be a lecture, It’s going to be a group discussion because there are so many people with great ideas.” The workshop will also utilize the EN-ROADS Global Climate Simulator.

According to their website, the West Kootenay Climate Hub's mission is “to accelerate climate action in our region, and to facilitate communication and collaboration among our members and our partner organizations.” The organization formed in 2021.

Climate Action Week in BC is Nov. 4 - 10 and the workshop is at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6.

Sacks joined CJLY to discuss the West Kootenay Climate Hub, the climate solutions workshop and the current state of the climate.
