The Community Radio Fund of Canada produces a new weekly radio series called Viewpoints, a 30 minute news magazine aired on 30 radio stations across Canada. Viewpoints provides an overview of what’s happening across the country, thanks to some 20 radio correspondents working for the Local Journalism Initiative in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
On this second edition of Viewpoints:
Jean Philippe Smith was recently named Canada’s new Dominion sculptor. He carves Canada’s spirit in stone. The Valley Youth Fiddlers were silenced by the Covid-19 epidemic, but nothing will keep them from celebrating 25 years of music in Buckley Valley BC. And we’ll go to British Columbia where there seems to be a shortage of firewood on Cortes Island. You might learn you’re not paying that much for yours. Prices are exploding, and residents are converting to gas. With our journalists Caleb Nickerson, Daniel Centeno, Pamela Haasen, Kate Maddigan. Producer and host Boris Chassagne. Viewpoints is produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada.
