The Community Radio Fund of Canada produces Viewpoints, a 30 minute weekly news magazine aired on some 30 radio stations across Canada. Viewpoints provides an overview of what’s happening across the country, thanks to some 20 radio correspondents working for the Local Journalism Initiative.
On this edition of Viewpoints:
Fibre optics, cable, and landlines will soon be available in the small community of Cortes Island. Imposing new taxes on non-resident homeowners won’t cool down the housing market or make a dent in the housing crisis in Nova Scotia say local realtors. Municipal employees are giving a thumbs up to the four day workweek. Nova Scotia and New Brunswick follow the trend. And we go back to British Columbia where our journalist Pamela Haasen met with documentarian and filmmaker Kelly Milner who just produced Not About Me.
With our journalists Greg Osoba, Pamela Haasen, Erica Butler and Ed Halverson. Producer and host Boris Chassagne. Viewpoints is produced by the Community Radio Fund of Canada.
