On Thursday August 26th at the Tyee Lake pavilion, over 100 people gathered to discuss fears and confusion over vaccine passports in northern BC.

CICK News received permission from one organizer to share audio from the myriad of speakers at the rally. Denise Dilny helped to share the event on social media, even though she "wasn't really an organizer".

Sign up sheets were available for attendees to help organize a coalition of people against the use of vaccine passports and speakers were encouraged to take the microphone and share stories in regards to mask mandates.

A number of the speakers commented on the government's actions to create vaccine passports was against the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The members of the audience were encouraged to look up the Nuremburg Trials of 1948.

One speaker, a nurse, told the audience to not get the vaccine, which has given her a multitude of ailments.

Northern BC has seen an uprising in gatherings of people urging community members to rebel against the provincial mandate to be vaccinated in order to enter businesses come September 13th.

Below is a clip from Denise Dilny speaking to the crowd at the Tyee Lake pavilion on August 26th.
