Despite cases of Coronavirus increasing, on Oct 20, the Government on Canada amended the travel restriction barring international students from entering the country. Now International Students may enter Canada on the condition that their designated learning institution has an approved COVID-19 readiness plan completed.

This month, other changes to border restrictions have occurred including allowing for extended family members of Canadian citizens to enter the country with authorization. That change came into effect on Oct 8.
