This week, Loyalist Township's Chief Administrative Officer presented council with the latest draft of the strategic plan for 2024-2027 at a meeting.

The draft includes a review of progress and changes since the plan was created, and an update to staff priorities, objectives and action plans. Staff noted they would be considering all perspectives to better generate useful objectives and initiatives.

Community town halls were held in Amherst Island, Bath, Amherstview, Odessa and Wilton to discuss the plan and consider public priorities. The township will now be seeking public input on the draft. The draft will then be refined through comments from council and staff, and a final plan will be brought to council for consideration and adoption in the new year.
