Local men’s shelter AutonHomme teamed up with Langford’s Grocery to deliver nearly 300 free Christmas meals to the public on Dec. 14. This is the third year that the two organizations have put on this event, and was by far their biggest ever, according to AutonHomme community worker Gabriel Lemaire. In addition to the larger numbers, they delivered the meals to many more communities as well this year.

Lemaire said that they they had seven or eight drivers and six people doing the kitchen prep work. He thanked Langford’s owner Tony Dar, who donated the use of his kitchen as well as food items for the event. He said that they have high hopes for next year.
