The University of the Fraser Valley's first theatre production of the year centers on the Sumas Prairie, on the one year anniversary of the devastating flooding in the region.

Ghosting of Sumas Lake, directed by English department associate professor Dr. Michelle Laflamme, addresses the impacts of the 2021 fall flood from the students' perspective and explores the ideas of the current climate crisis and the concept of "ghosting."

The UFV play will run from Nov. 30-Dec. 3 at the Abbotsford campus performance studio.

A stand-alone exhibit of the same name displaying archival material and an immersive audio-visual experience will run from Nov. 16-Dec. 2. For more information on the play or exhibit, visit theatre@ufv.ca
