Country music legend Lisa Brokop is returning to the Fraser Valley with a special one-night Christmas music concert this Saturday.
Brokop, who was raised in Surrey, BC, began singing in her childhood, laying the foundation for things to come. She later moved to the home of country music, Nashville, Tennessee, around 19 to pursue her love of singing and songwriting professionally.
Brokop’s career spans nearly 30 years in the industry, with various awards and nominations and writing credits for artists like Reba McEntire, Terri Clark and Pam Tills.
In an interview with CIVL, Brokop shared more about the early days of her career and how she remains motivated musically after all this time.
Lisa Brokop’s Classic Country Christmas is coming to the Chilliwack Cultural Centre on Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. To learn more, visit the cultural centre's website.
