A professor with the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is weighing in on the City of Abbotsford's culture plan and proposing changes.

Associate professor Heather Davis-Fisch has been director of UFV’s School of Creative Arts since 2019. Davis-Fisch played a role in presenting The City of Abbotsford with a letter asking for further consideration and care to be put into the city’s 2020 culture plan.

In an interview with CIVL, Davis-Fisch spoke on the what the culture plan is, changes she wishes to see and ways to support the arts locally.

Abbotsford also has two new people in key roles on the new proposed Culture Plan: Terra Dickinson and Aaron Moran. CIVL explores what will this mean for the culture plan moving forward in the station's Abbotsford Culture Plan series.
