The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) in Abbotsford hosted one of its first in-person events since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Ron Dart, professor at the University of the Fraser Valley, shared with CIVL what occurred at the Palestinian and Israeli event.

At the event, Dart says there were two issues raised: the founding of Israel in 1948 and the "tragic treatment" of the Palestinians in Gaza, the west bank, and East Jerusalem. Dart says an interesting question asked at the event was, "why was the west so animated with what Russia is doing in Ukraine in terms of the assault?"
