The Nelson Leafs Junior B hockey club have been told to pack up hopes of any 2020/2021 season.
Earlier this month, the province extended pandemic restrictions indefinitely.
This winter, tens of thousands of hockey players across Canada have been shut out of the arena by COVID-19.
Since the fall, in many BC arenas have been ordered empty, leagues have been cancelled, months of regularly held games and playoffs nixed, and practices too.
In some jurisdictions, there were temporary delays bumped up throughout the season, and teams hoped some sort of league play would be kept alive this year.
That was the case in British Columbia, where Junior B players aged 16 to 20, playing in three leagues across the province, were on-again, off again, for months until the news arrived this month.
