Karin Litzcke is running for election in the riding of Vancouver East, with the People’s Party of Canada. As she puts it, “I've wanted to run for office since...I was in my thirties, but I could never find a party where there wasn't too much compromise, required to fully sign onto their platform.”

She found that refusal to compromise in Maxime Bernier’s People’s Party of Canada. A self-described leftist, Litzcke joined the PPC so she could “...be the Greenpeace of social change by creating space for...discussion.” Living in the riding of Vancouver East, Litzcke was compelled to run for office because, “...you will not find anybody on the Downtown Eastside who says, ‘oh, it's been getting better.’ It has been getting steadily worse and all that's happening so far is that the politicians are getting better and better at sounding like they care."
