A Local Fraser Valley Biologist describes her important environmental work. Aleesha Switzer, a biologist and social scientist from the Fraser Valley Conservancy spoke with CIVL on her work with the Fraser Valley Conservancy. She says her specialty is in studying amphibians. Switzer says her job changes depending on the seasons. During the spring time, frogs are breeding which is an important time for her to go out and study how they are doing. She checks how many eggs they laid so they can get an idea of there population rate in the Fraser Valley. In the summer, her job turns to interacting with the public and working with volunteers on all kinds of different projects.
