Terrace local Steve Little is ready to tell you all about the COVID-19 experience.

Earlier this year, he started experiencing symptoms that he attributed to his diabetes, but when the symptoms (including exhaustion, heavy limbs, headache and a fever) didn't subside he decided he had to call an ambulance to his house.

As soon as the paramedic saw him, she felt strongly he was COVID-19 positive. Once at the hospital, he was swabbed to be sure he was positive and, once that was confirmed, he was admitted to Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace and put on an IV. Little then spent 15 days in isolation.

He is grateful for the quick action by the paramedics and the diligent care he received from the nurses on the second floor of Mills MH. He suffered some complications with his oxygen levels and breathing, which was worsened due to his diabetes.

After 15 days, he was well enough (and COVID-19 clear) that he could return home. Little said he can't wait for the vaccine and urges everyone to "please wear your masks!"
