Fraser Valley community activist Aird Flavelle said the government needs to do more to get younger people involved in politics locally.

He says it is the responsibility of politicians to show young adults the positive sides of politics so that they become more interested and start to be more active citizens. He also says that society would benefit from having more young people in politics. With more young adults engaged and active in voting, Flavelle says the more time politicians will spend with them understanding their issues and addressing them.
