On Wednesday, the Terrace Chamber of Commerce held an all candidates meet and greet at Terrace's Branch 13 Legion.

All 15 of the cities candidates were in attendance, each with a booth set up to invite members of the public to speak with them on their platforms and plans.

The candidate list consists of four incumbents: Brian Downie, Lynne Christiansen, James Cordeiro and Dave Gordon.

Multiple candidates are new to the city, such as Peter Moloney and Chris Apps, who both moved to Terrace in 2014, or Inder Dhillon, who moved to the city in 2010. Other candidates have been here upwards of 20 years, and have been involved in various committees and volunteer groups. These candidates are Yvonne Nielsen, Martin Holzbauer, Keenan Stella, Danny Nunes, Sarah Zimmerman, Melissa Linn, MaryAnne Freeman, and Lynn Parker who also served two terms as a Kitselas band council member.

With over 200 votes counted already thanks to the advanced voting polls on Oct. 5 and Oct. 12, general voting day will happen this Saturday, Oct.15 at Cassie Hall Elementary and the Terrace Sportsplex.
