Tax sale, policy review, new hire highlight first Region of Queens council meeting of 2022

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions Region of Queens council met virtually to start the new year.

Mayor Darlene Norman met with QCCR reporter Ed Halverson to review the proceedings.

Highlights include a new hire to assess the millions of dollars in municipal assets, recognizing an historic wrong, initiating a policy review and shifting the sale of properties in tax arrears from a tax sale to a sealed-bid auction.
