On today's Tantramar Report:

For the sixth day in a row, there were no new cases of COVID-19 reported in New Brunswick yesterday. There are now just six active cases in the province, with four of those in Zone 1. 79.5 per cent of people 12 and over have now received at least one shot of a COVID-19 vaccine, and just over 50 per cent have received two shots. 

Sackville town council meets tonight at 7 p.m. for its regular monthly meeting. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and people can watch via Youtube, or join the meeting via Microsoft Teams. Links are on the Town of Sackville website.

VIA Rail has announced it will resume limited service on The Ocean, the train that runs between Halifax and Montreal, with stops in Sackville. The route will run just one round-trip per week, starting on Aug. 11.

Former Nova Scotia MP Bill Casey has announced he will run for provincial office in Cumberland.

And, finally, New Brunswick has joined other provinces in offering a rebate incentive program on new or used electric vehicles. We chat with local EV owner Laura Reinsborough.
