National Indigenous Day in St. Albert was filled with live music, food, and performances by traditional dancers over the weekend.

President of the National Indigenous St. Albert Celebration Society Marc Parent shares what happened at the event.

One of the traditional dancers that performed at the event was Goodfish Lake’s own Chris Hunter who has been dancing for 28 years. Hunter says that it feels great to see Indigenous culture being celebrated, and appreciates the welcoming, accepting feeling in the St Albert community towards Indigenous culture to celebrate National Indigenous Day.
