NDP Candidate for Skeena-Bulkley Valley Taylor Bachrach is hitting the campaign trail across Northwest BC for the second tome in just two years.

According to Bachrach, many in his constituency are still struggling to get through the pandemic, especially with a fourth wave on the way.

“I don’t think a lot of folks are aware of how hard hit the Northwest has been. I know a lot of sectors of our economy have kept going and a lot of folks who’ve managed to stay safe but I was talking to a doctor of his door step, from the emergency ward at the hospital, the other day and he said it got pretty grim there for a bit,” Bachrach said.

Although there are other issues Bachrach is trying to talk about – like the climate crisis, wildfires and action on the situation with residential schools – he reiterated the first thing of peoples minds was getting through the pandemic.

Backrach will be traveling the riding for the next few weeks, to hear more about his campaign, listen to the full interview below.

Next week, CICK will speak to Jody Craven of the PPC and Claire Rattee from the Conservatives.
