Six Nations Police arrest two people for possession and trafficking fentanyl

Two individuals have been arrested and charged by the Six Nations Police Drug Enforcement Unit as a result of a drug investigation into fentanyl trafficking on Six Nations and the surrounding areas. 

Officers observed a drug transaction being conducted in a vehicle at a Hagersville shopping plaza, on Aug. 31. 

Police then obtained search warrants for the vehicle involved and a Brantford motel room. As a result, police seized approximately $38,000 in fentanyl as well as methamphetamine, Canadian currency, digital scales, a debit list, and cell phones.

Arrested and charged are Jason Immel of Ohsweken, 45, and Richard McKenzie, 36, of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

The two have been charged with the following criminal offences.

Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl, possession of methamphetamine and proceeds of crime under $5,000.Both individuals were scheduled to appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford Sept. 1.
