Selkirk College students look to add faith-based support group on campus

Two Selkirk College students are hoping to bring Campus United to the Castlegar campus this fall. Campus United is a community support group across colleges and universities in Canada that is part of the United Church of Canada.

While the United Church of Canada a Protestant Christian church, Campus United intends to connect students of all faiths.

The two students, E.K. Murray and Umor Amin, plan to organize events like nature walks, clothing drives and mental health support groups under the Campus United umbrella.

Selkirk College has not had Campus United representatives active on campus in the past. CJLY reached out to Selkirk College for an official statement but did not receive a reply prior to publishing the story.
