School District 54 Superintendent Mike McDiarmid is hopeful for the upcoming 2020/21 school season this September.

With new procedures and a "cohort" system for grades in middle school and high school, the school board believes they are as ready as they can be for school amidst a global pandemic.

The Bulkley-Necheko Region of Northern BC has seen low numbers of COVID-19 cases reported (due to the remote location) but it has not been unaffected. Numbers have been increasing since BC entered Phase 3 of COVID-19 protocols for gatherings socially as well as people getting back to work.

Listen to CICK News tomorrow (Thursday September 3rd) for Superintendent Mike McDiarmid's plan for back to school in the North.
