Alan Chell has been on the Revelstoke school board since 1984 and he was elected on Oct. 15 for another four years with 64 per cent of the votes.
He's seen a lot of changes over the years but says about Revelstoke, "We've always been a community that values and understands the importance of public education."
Here he talks about how the education system has evolved over the years, and how a good relationship with the provincial government has benefitted the community.
