The Regional District of Bulkley Nechako has created a podcast to talk about all things agriculture.
It's called Growing Opportunities and the first episode launches on Monday, March 21st. The hosts are Megan D'Arcy, the Agriculture Coordinator for RDBN West and Michelle Roberge, Agriculture Coordinator for the East.
The idea came about when Megan was attending a workshop and "thought that a podcast would be a great way to disseminate information about agriculture and the RDBN, especially during a pandemic" (when everyone is online).
They are currently still in the interviewing phase for the 6-episode season, and have been "inspired by the passion of their guests so far" according to Michelle Roberge.
They both have experience operating their own small-scale farms, so they chose topics they have some familiarity with, but are having fun talking to people.
The concept for Growing Opportunities (or GO) is to discuss the broad scope of agriculture from beekeeping to forage and off-grid farming.
If you're interested in listening to the GO Podcast, the first episode launches March 21st.
